I love mugs. I am however quite particular about the mugs I use. And it also depends on what they are for. Not every mug is suitable for every drink or every occasion.

I have big chunky mugs for mid-morning coffee. I have smaller, handmade mugs for after dinner coffee. And for tea it HAS to be fine bone china. It just HAS to.

And there lies the problem. If like me, you are partial to your brew in fine bone china, you will know how difficult it is to find stylish mugs in fine bone china. Most often they are porcelain and that just won't do.

So when I found these in Habitat I just had to have one. They tick every box...colour, design, Orla-esque crosshatch and oh, fine bone china.

The only mistake I have made was just purchasing 2...I think I'll be going back for more.

So what's your penchant? What do you look for in a mug?

Nice mugs! I LOVE mugs. I've got a right old motley collection, but I'm not fussy about what I drink from which mug. As long as they're pretty... :)

I am very fussy when it comes to mugs. I like a Emma Bridgewater shaped mug with a nice wide bottom and handle you can fit a hand in, but not to wide a top that you tea gets cold ! And...I like the milk in first, never after :)

I'm fortunate - I long ago got into drinking EVERYTHING out of chunkier mugs, so I'm very happy with my Emma Bridgewater ones for all dirnks. Don't even get me started on when my mother visits and demands bone china though...

I have a decent sized mug for my morning tea, it has to be big enough, a larger cup for my mid morning coffee. And another smaller more dainty cup for my early grey later on. Everyone in the house knows which one is which. Am constantly on the search for the perfect mug though...

Definately for the discriminating mug owner :}

I am very particular about my mugs too! I have a chunky not very stylish Paddington mug for my first morning coffee. And if that one is in the dishwasher or something I'm using a large red one with white dots. For tea I have the cutest 'Pip' mug : http://www.pipstudio.com/nl/floral-servies/pip-koffie-thee/pip-mok-early-bird
