bribery time...

I would really appreciate your opinion...
I'll make it worth your while...
well you read the heading...Bribery Time.

As you know I have been working on my screen printing range for this Autumn/Winter and have developed the 2 colour-ways - Utility above and Frozen Berries below and within that Triangle Mania and Scruffy Daisy.

I have 3 big fairs coming up and so need a lot of stock and obviously I want the right stock for my customers as all the fairs will be a "see it and buy it now" kinda affair, rather than the ordering kinda scenario.

So the question is, what would you choose? If you could pick any 3 items that you are drawn to, either for yourself or thinking ahead as Christmas gifts what digs it for you? Is there a particular pattern? A certain colour? A favourite pouch? I really would greatly appreciate your thoughts on this, my little in house market research buddies.

So what's in it for you, I hear you ask? Obviously I know you aren't that kind of person and you are happy to just help out I hear you cry, but everyone is entitled to a little reward and I insist.

So, two things.

The first is if you leave me a comment with your thoughts I'll email you a code for 10% off your next order (so be sure to link to an email address).
Secondly I'll enter you into a draw to win a little selection of your suggestions. Ah, sneaky huh? Now you have to think about what you like, not just be random, because one of you is going to be lumbered with the said pieces.

Seriously though, I really appreciate the time you take in helping me with this.

Thank you! x

Giveaway open until Sunday evening (oh and talking of which, there's still time to enter my fab giveaway from M is for Make...go check it out if you haven't already entered.)

I love the frozen berries, I think the pouches which are half flowers, half solid fabric are my favourite, then the same with triangles and my third thing would be the mini coin purses. Is that specific enough? I really don't have a preference between the frozen berry colours, I love them all.

As soon as I started reading this post I thought 'oh I love that orange'! That's the scruffy daisy one hanging in the first picture. I'm not so drawn to the pouches with pleats, not sure why I think maybe they don't look as smart/structured as the others (but please don't think I'm saying they're rubbish!). I definitely prefer the pouches that use a screen print AND a plain, I think it makes your prints stand out. Good luck!

I find it hard to describe each pouch- do they have names? Also the sizes? The orange triangles and the pink daisy are my favourite fabrics.

I really like the aqua colour - my favourite of all the colours. The pleat front cosmetic bags are my least favourite - I like the large two-tone ones and the long thin pencil case size ones.

It feels like shopping! Loving the grey scruffy daisy and lime trianglemania pouches in the first photo and the pleated pouches in aqua scruffy daisy and I know I'm only allowed three but can't resist the grey trianglemania pleaty pouch too! Oops automatic fail!

Yay love a bit of bribery :)
I am more drawn towards your frozen berries line as I love the bright colours and love the combo of patterned and plain fabrics. If I was looking for gifts they would be pouches for things like iPads, iPhones, make up pouches for friends, pencil case type pouches. I love simple zippered pouches not too fussy if it has a pocket or anything inside! I also like the boxy style pouches that I have seen around so you can keep quite a bit of stuff inside! Not sure if that helps in anyway but hope so! :)

Well your work is gorgeous but that's without doubt! I especially love your pouches with the solid charcoal bottoms in your triangle print. The colours I would buy would be Pink, Aqua and Orange. Hope you sell loads x

I love the triangle ones (in both sizes) - especially in the orange, yellow and grey. I think I really need that grey and yellow for a scarf I want to make, expect a sale :)

I like the triangle print in both colourways, but the Utility the most. I think for gifts the small pouches would be nice, I could see my 9 yo son using a grey one for his money when we go on days out. For myself the largest zipped bag with the orange triangles for a sponge bag/travelling odds and sods bag and a medium one maybe in the pink or grey for taking things like camera charger and phone charger so they don't get all tied up in my bag.

If I'm buying something on impulse I usually go for a smaller item just in case I see something later that I also want and I'm always drawn to they greys, pinks and oranges, sometimes turquoise but if there's orange there it cries out to me!

I'm not as taken with the flowers but then I'm not a flowery girl and I have 2 sons but I could see them being popular in the medium size as make-up bags (or pencil cases for younger girls), that looks like a really useful size, not too big for a handbag but large enough to hold everything.

Hope that helps and lovely sewing and printing as always!

The mustard and orange color are really "in" right now and I love them both. Also, the aqua color is so pretty that I think I'd choose that one as well. Your work is wonderful"

Sorry not sure why my comment came up 3 times! Getting used to my iPad :)
Meant to also say love your little pouches would they be suitable for carrying around store cards etc?

i love love love the triangle mania print in all the colours but would probably lean towards the utility colour ways, i'm not so drawn to the scruffy daisy print but do like it in the darker blue & orange colours {as well as the utility colour ways} & also think it would be safer print for some people i would be buying gifts for, if i were buying as gifts i'd go for either the small coin sized zippered pouches, the longer thinner ones or the smaller make up sized pouch - hope that helps some? good luck with your fairs!

I'm drawn to the colours and the pouches in the top photo, especially the daisies in grey and orange. I like the pouches that combine a sold and a print. At a fair, I'd probably go for smaller items for impulse buys, so a selection of the smaller purses would be a good idea I think. For some reason I can't quite put my finger on, the pleat front don't appeal so much, although I like the triangle fabric.
Good luck with your sales, I'm sure you'll do well!

I really really like the pouches with the navy bottoms. I love the way that they hang (although I guess you could do that with other ones too), and the two colours make them look really classy. I think all the colours are great and should be equally popular (people have such varying taste after all).

Charlotte said...

ok, so it's not navy on the bottom, but you know what I mean ;-)

The utility colors got my attention first and both are lovely.

In the 4th picture, the two on the left just popped for me. Love the colors and the design.

Then those tiny triangle pouches snagged my eye with the pink winning over the bluish grey.

All your items are lovely and only picking three, if I was there to buy, would be hard.
Your work is beautiful.

I love the grey and neon colours, very funky (in the first photo) They are my favourites

Di said...

I like the utility colours with the charcoal bottom halves. The triangles in orange is a winner with me but if buying for a female I would pick the grey scruffy daisy one in the first photo. The coin purses are a winner too as they have a wide appeal and are probabily less in price. I would also be attracted to the small longer pouches that could double for a pencil case/ make up bag. Again, I would choose a neutral colour way, eg orange or aqua. The pleated pouches are less appealing as I would have to have someone specific in mind before I parted with my cash. So to sum up, they are all attractive but I would choose those three listed as I could buy them without having someone specific in mind (could be stocking fillers), knowing that they would definitely be used as presents. Phew! That was a long comment. Di x

I love accepting bribery! ;) I really like the triangle prints in the orange and ochre colors. If I were buying small gifts, the key ring pouches would be perfect (maybe even sold as an optional three pack?). I also really like the large and medium sized classic-shaped zipper pouches. They would be quite handy for holding sewing notions and knitting projects. I hope this is helpful!

Chase said...

The small pouches are awesome! I love the simplicity of the fabric design and the pouch pattern is just lovely! The colors are great! From my computer monitor I see them in a more retro scheme. Hand print fabric gives additional visual and hand texture... I also over other pouches design and fabric prints! :)

It's got to be the frozen berried colours for me - just love the combination, and the name just conjures up all sorts of wintery lovliness in my head. I love both of your print designs (completely!) but if you have to pin me down, I'd probably go for daisies in the all over fabric, and triangles in the tiny pouches and the ones combined with plain fabric. I love the style of pouches in the th picture down, but the medium sized pouches in the final picture are also calling me... Choices, choices... Why did you have to ask such a tough question!?

Lara @ Luellabella said...

I love the utility! I can't get over the gorgeous triangle mania in coral/orange. I would choose one of the orange triangle zip pouches with the dark coloured bottom, the big blue flower pouch with the dark bottom (for my mum) and an orange flower thin zip case to store my embroidery notions (needles, cottons and scissors)! Just love them. Good luck!

Amy Friend said...

I like the two tone bags best-I really like the colors of Utility but I think I like the fabric you used for the bottoms of the Berries bags better. I hope you do well at the fair!

Lexi said...

I love the two colour bags. The big one with Grey flowers and the others in the top picture that fit together. One of each of those in a bundle would be awesome.

Samantha said...

I love the pleated pouch! It is awesome. My favourite print is the scruffy flower in curry. So my top pick would be the pleated pouch in scruffy flower in curry. My second pick would be the Grey Scruffy Daisy Make Up Pouch. My third pick would be the little narrow pouch in the pink scruffy flower. Thanks for the chance. You make wonderful things! such talent :)

Marian-Lady Face said...

I love the triangles! The grey non-pleated triangle pouch that is all grey is awesome. I also like the dark blue pouch that is half flowers, half solid. I really like that contrast. I like both the colorways, so that's tough to pick from. As a third choice would be any of the orange pouches. I hope this helps? I think your work is wonderful and have been drooling over your skills for a while! Good luck!!

Nati said...

I love the first picture in your post and the triangles specially. So I would choose a small, medium and large pouches in the grey and orange fabrics. (small grey, medium orange, large grey or the other way around). Thanks for the discount and the chance to win

Right in no particular order...
1) The long skinny pouch in Aqua. Just because I have this random urge one day I will master something yarn wise be it knitting or crochet and I might get the urge to put a hook and yarn in something and cart it around with me. I may just do this anyway if I get the pouch. :-)
2) The big scribble flowers pouch in the blue colourway. Perfect for stashing little toiletries in for one night away.
3) Then in the last picture the triangle purses you have in the middle of the picture - I like that pink! and the half contrast with the dark fabric is yummy in all the colours.

My fave style is the pleated pouch, fave colour is aqua and fave design is Scruffy Daisy. xx

Strawberry Patch said...

The 4 pouches. Frozen berries with the half solid are just so yum, I don't think I would be able to pass them by at a fair without taking one home! Overall I prefer the berry colourway but just because the richness of the colours makes me think they would be more suited to gifts for this time of year. I also like the little purses as I'm always needing little cheap gifts for children, teachers etc and even though I don't have much money I HAVE to buy something when I visit a fair, so if you had some smaller items at a low price range I'd love your stall! how about some kits too perhaps? People really love the make do type thing, even if they are not crafters as such, you could include all the cut pieces required and a zip -maybe more work than it is worth though?

I love the Frozen Berries collection and if I were to buy something it would probably be pink, turqoise or navy scruffy daisy patterned makeup bags, they are lovely! Good luck with the fair, I bet you'll sell loads :)

Roobarb said...

I really love the triangle pattern my favourite colours here are the orange with the solid grey bottom, the sky blue colour & the mustard yellow colour! You are a very clever lady. I would love to own one of the pencil cases as for gifts I would probably be more drawn towards the purses :)
Hope that helps

I popped over to your etsy shop to see what you were calling each style. I have 2 favourites that leapt put straight away which are the orange scruffy daisy washbag, and the aqua scruffy dasiy pleated pouch. For a third option I would probably buy a little coin purse in either of those colourways (I saw that you had made some but not in those colours). These are stunning bags and should sell well as Christmas presents they are very reasonably priced too.

I love the solid backgrounds that you've screenprinted on! and I prefer the zippered pouches with just one fabric!

Hena Tayeb said...

Wow that is not easy.. they are all really cute. I like the pouches that are half pattern and half solid. I prefer the brighter colors like the pink and orange rather than the gray on gray.
The pleated pouches are my least favorite..
Hope this helps..good luck

I love all of them! Not much help, I know, so I'll try to narrow it down...

If I was at the craft fair I think I'd be most drawn to the 'half and half' bags (probably the large one but it would depend on how much money I had!) in either of the designs in any of the colours (except the mustard - it's lovely but it's not a colour I'm ever drawn to. Or is it lime? If it's lime I'd definitely be drawn to it!)- probably the pink or the dark blue would draw me first and then I'd notice the others and would dither for quite a while before choosing. And no, I have no idea which I'd choose! I also love the pleated pouch in either the aqua daisies or grey triangles and the little purses are gorgeous. Again, I'd dither between the pink and the blue and have no idea which I'd end up picking...As you can tell I really do like them all and am dithering as I type!

If I were shopping for presents for other people I'd be looking for pouches that could act as make-up bags/embroidery pouches/coin purses/pencil cases (depending on size) - i.e. pouches that could be used for a variety of things, depending on what the recipient is interested in so your stall would be my perfect thing to find in a craft fair! If you could position yourself next to a stall selling gorgeous turned wood bowls, etc. I'd be in heaven!!

I hope the fairs go really well - good luck, and thank you!!!

I love your washbags and your coin pouch keyrings - so handy! In terms of fabric, well, I'm a big fan of your fabric so it's a tough one. The white flowers on blue have to be my favourites

I like the half and half combos.
If I could go for just one it would be the triangle mania in the greeny colour, top pic far right.
Of course it could be different if picking as a pressie for others.
I like the squarer shape better than the long one.

My absolute favorite fabric and bag, is the triangle fabric with the grey on the bottom. Beautiful!

Emma said...

They look great, and so professional! I love the scruffy daisies and the frozen berry colour line. In terms of the pouches, I like the make-up bag sized ones and the tiny coin purses. I agree with an earlier comment that the ones with pleats don't look quite as neat, but they are still lovely. I think my favourite colour is the pink, but all the berries are lovely. Best of luck with selling them :)

Julie said...

They're all lovely, really, and look fantastic! If I really had to pick favorites, I'd say the triangles in the Utility color group - especially the gray, that's my very, very favorite. But I do also really like the aqua triangles from the other color group. I don't have too much preference on type of bag - I could find a good use for any of those! :) I like the ones that combine a solid with your prints the most, no matter the size, though I'd be most likely to use a size that would hold a small knitting project as a little portable project bag, and least likely to use a pencil case size. I hope that helps - I really do love that triangle print, I've been admiring it on Instagram as well! :)

I like the pleated pouches - they look roomy enough to put allsorts of different things in. And the pleatedness is nicely original.
I'd choose the grey, the mustard or the turquoise blue.

I like the half solid bags, especially the red triangle one. I also really like the pleated pouches, they look unusual.

The triangle print in general is my favourite!
