Today it is all about Pink!

I'm not normally a pinky person but I had a request for my fabrics in pink and so last week the pink paint came out and I have to say...

I love it!

The pink I used is a fab hot pink, not girly sickly, sugary and the colour works so well on the crisp white linen. I'm particularly pleased with how the colour has taken on the triangle design - really crisp and clear.

Last night I got a making...as it's one thing seeing the fabrics in panels and quite another how it looks made up into things.

A few pleat and pencil pouches later and it was pretty clear that perhaps I like pink rather more than I thought.

I stopped myself sewing so that I could list a few pink panels for you to purchase and use in your own creations.
Go right here for them...as well as the pink made up pieces.

Time to get back to a bit of crafting...

I ordered some fab screen-printed fabric panels from the lovely and talented Kayanna of June Craft and what good timing for it to arrive this week, when I had time to luxuriate in new fabrics.

I haven't quite decided what I'll be doing with them yet. I've been too busy holding and stroking them. Besides you can't rush a good thing.

I'm thinking they'll work really beautifully in my new found love of Log Cabin pieces. I've just been commissioned to do a couple of cushions, but since they are both for boys, I don't think I'll use any on them. If anyone orders a girl one, they'll be lucky enough to get a little snippet of these in it.

Kayanna includes an extensive ideas sheet with each panel. One such idea is to simply frame the entire piece, maybe doing a little embroidery on them to enhance the patterns. I'm liking this idea ALOT.

I also ordered this gorgeous Long Dog Kit, which comes complete with a beautiful backing fabric and easy make up instructions. Kayanna and I are planning a little something to make thiskit available on Blueberry park, for all you British customers out there, so watch this space ;-)

Ooh, it feels good to be back to my fabric -based life...

Warning...Seriously cute

I've been spending quite a bit of time on the computer this morning printing out all the instruction sheets for the kits. The trouble with that is that I then spend alot of time surfing. But the good thing about that is then I find fantastic new things for you for the shop, like this.

But seriously, look away now if you have a weak constitution. This is seriously cute. I'm almost expiring glimpsing it from the corner of my eye...

You have been warned...

This delicious piece of fabric will turn into these two outrageously cute softies. What's more when you have made the softies, you are still left with the row of mini cuties to adorn other crafting projects.

Did you catch the koala baby on the back of big K? Did you? And what about the little owl peeping out of the tree on the back of Big O?

For those of you that haven't come across Saffron Craig's whimsical delightful designs before, go check her out. She's one talented lady.

Obviously I'm hoping they'll be in the shop VERY soon...

Some for the boys

I have been stocking the talented Kristen Doran's Russian Doll and Bunny Kits for a while now and am delighted that the Drummer Boy and Robots have also landed in the shop. It's all too easy to find gorgeous things for the girls, but as we all know, downright impossible to find fab things for the boys.

So I knew I had to stock these for you all, to fill that much needed gap. The colours and the quality are just stunning and I know you are going to love them too. They make a fantastic crafting activity and then a great present to give and treasure. I'm definitely going to be making some for my nephew.

And it shouldn't be too much longer before we have the Prints Charming panels in too...
